Hello and thanks for a great site. I'm a five centimetre girl who feels increasingly violated by the trend for cosmetic surgeons to portray people like me as disgusting or deformed.

Take the UK's Dalia Nield, a cosmetic surgeon making a mint out of cutting vulvas, who comments, "They have these things hanging, flopping all over the place, and it's terribly embarrassing.... they need to be made normal."

Hope some of you might support my blog and help me to fight back against this horrible trend for trimming back female sensuality. Large lips aren't just normal, they are fabulous....

Thanks for your good work. I just started reading from your blog and will keep following up on it.

I found the quote from Dr. Dalia Nield you mentioned. Let me link to it here, so people can see you are not making this up. Those kind of comments from a medical professional are extremely unethical. She should be penalized for it, just as the other doctors you quote in your piece about labiaplasty and racism.

Note to the guys: anyone who is not used to the metric system, five centimetres equals two inches ! But please restrain yourselves from turning this thread into an appeal for pictures. We still have our imagination, don't we.

This plastic surgeon absolutely angers me, "They need to be made normal" I mean what the hell!?
The fact that she has all these women coming in who are born with large labia could tell her they're completely normal.
I have a right mind to email her and tell her exactly what I think!
Also her saying it gets in the way of sex and makes uncomfortable sitting down, what a load of twollop! I never notice it whilst sitting down 100% of the time and it certainly doesn't get in the way of sex, I have never ever had an uncomfortable sexual experience.
Something needs to be done, because I don't want my little sister or future kids to grow up thinking like this!
