Please Help Limit the Mutilations of Mr.Red

All,

I wrote the following letter to Mattel Corporation to inform them of the illegal infringement by Mr. Red on their "Barbie" brand. I request that others from this site contact Mattel to inform them of this infringement. I request this since I can see that Mr. Red is still luring girls & women with this bait.

I want to make your company aware of an individual who is infringing on your "Barbie" trademark. I am concerned that this individual's infringement of the "Barbie" trademark/name could give the public the perception that Mattel is condoning the mutilation of girls & women's genitalia.

This individual performs Female Genital Mutilation (FMG) in the U.S.A. under the label of labiaplasty. Labiaplasty is the practice of amputating/mutilating a girls/women's vulva. This atrocity, which had previously been relegated to the uneducated classes in Sub-Sahara Africa, has recently found its way to our shores. The individual listed above capitalizes on the "Barbie" trademark to lure girls/women into voluntarily submitting to vulva mutilation for his material gain.

In a world where internet porn, Brazilian waxes, and celebrity flashers are ubiquitous, it's not surprising that one of the most spotlighted procedures of the day was labiaplasty. That's surgery to reduce the inner (minora) or outer (majora) vaginal lips because they are, to quote the doctors, "too large, loose, floppy, bulky, excessive, uneven, redundant, or overpigmented."
California urogynecologist Red Alinsod—who believes he is the busiest aesthetic vaginal surgeon on the West Coast—proudly presented his signature labiaplasties. They include the "Rim," wherein he leaves just the edge of the inner labia, and the "Barbie," wherein he cuts the entire inner labia off.
A few of the presenters acknowledged that no data exist on whether a labiaplasty will burst during childbirth—a major issue since many of the women having labiaplasties are younger, including patients under 18. But not a single speaker raised the issue of the potential impact of labiaplasties on female sensation or sexual stimulation.

Since I don't believe Mattel would want its adored Barbie Doll associated with such a controversial and polarizing practice, I argue you to take immediate action to stop this blatant and unconscionable association being perpetrated by this opportunist.

Hello,
I went to that first link you had in your note and I agree and I was appalled at how they had destroyed the natural beauty of those women's privates. While of course some women and/or their partners may not like big lips and want it trimmed to look like a little girls', I still think it is wrong and disgusting. Some women might get that done because they they think, or have been led to believe that it is ugly in its natural state or do not know how beautiful it is in its natural state.
