society should be ashamed

not ashamed any more

October 23, 2008

hi, I have read over your site and all the extra articles, and like many women here can relate. The ones that can't understand how women with hanging labia are ashamed or shy or think they are abnormal are narrow minded to why girls do.
society has been so closed lips ( pardon the pun) about larger labia , with magazines and articles.
Girls know their bodies and see baby girls have nappy changes and pictures in daddys magazines hidden not so well under  the bed. So when their bodies start to change and grow the mention of tits and pubic hair is all there. not a word about growing labia, so as no one talked and you didnt look like that as a child , you deem yourself as abnormal.
we are crueler on oursleves to be perfect and see imprefection where others dont even to a blemish that looks like a volcano to ourselves, but others don't notice the tiny spot.
My point is no talk is given on the labia change or talked about in personal development at schools or  shown anywhere , until now with sites like these, we need more teen education on the topic to make girls and boys know what is normal. young boys are just confused when at first seeing a butterfly pussy, and hence will come the nasty comments due to ignorance, spiralling the " i'm not normal " thought pattern in girls.

my fianl point is shame on u society for making girls and boys think developing through puberty is unnatural. Is it this ignorance that why small minded cultures mutliate their women or insecure men scared of the power of the pussy.

I agree with you. I've written something like this before on here, but it's really strange that eventhough it is mentioned that breasts, hair and penis grow when young people hit puberty, and that penises and breasts come in different sizes - nothing was mentioned in my sex education about the labia growing.

I really think that's a problem, because it leads people to think that since it's not normal (i.e. something which naturally grows) it must have been made bigger in some other way. And the other way people decide is the reason why they are bigger is that the girl in question must have a "used" vagina. She has simply gotten loose in time.

In my mind that's just wrong.

I also agree and have also written about similar things on this site!! It is very interesting that different shaped pussies are not discussed!!! Why??? and because of this thousands and thousands of women think they are abnormal and are ashamed of their pussies!! This has led to a growing demand for labia surgery that many women are opting for these days...which I myself nearly had.
Women need to change things and start talking openly about their large labia and they need to do that with other women....women with small labia can often be the ignorant ones!!!

I totally agree with the above.  My labia got larger and pertruded arround about the age of 10 yrs.  I was so upset especially when a girlfriend saw my pussy and told me that I looked like a man.  I believed that I was an abnormal freak.
I was tempted to have labia surgery up to a few years ago, but am so glad that I never did.  I have learnt to love and enjoy my large labia now and partners that I have had love them and think they are sexy and very suckable.
I would just love to know the reason why large labia are not seen more in Porn?????
