Did we ever consider as a western society that we might have
genitally mutilated women by sending our children to schooling
systems (run by the religious) where they are thaught standards of
behaviour which include issues such as-
- Dressing Rule
Codes, and, other cultural rules dictate that Girls do not know what
other girls vulva's look like, because they do not see any other than
their own from any time onwards from when this may become a matter of
interest to them.
- Rules induced into womhood from a young
age, that there is improper to come off by their own hand, in
particular when their partner is present)
Dear LoveLabiaAndClits,
Dress codes? I'm not sure how that applies to this? I agree with your last line though. In the past people were heavily discouraged from masturbating, especially women. No wonder they developed so much shame for their genitals.
