I often come onto this site, its helped me a lot in the past, in the same way as it seems to have helped nearly all the other females readers who visit this site- girls that already are or have been very self conscious and unhappy about their large labia.

From a young age I disliked my pussy and I was also going to have surgery about a year ago because I was tired of feeling like a freak!! and just wanted to be NORMAL - although I realise now that there's no such thing!!

This site has probably been the main reason for me changing my opinion of myself and for the first time I actually feel proud and confident about my pussy!

But what I realise from my own experience and that of others who have written on this site, that it is in fact other females who -in my opinion- are often the cause of girls, with large labia, feeling utterly abnormal and unhappy. Generally men are fine about the variety of pussy- I think they are often just glad to get some pussy!! and I personally have never had a bad experience with any man who has disliked or made a horrible comment to me about my pussy, in fact they often love my big lips.

Men are not the problem girls.....
But oh boy!! have I heard other women say some nasty things about other girls who have large labia- comments that really cut like a knife to any girl with big lips, standing there quietly, listening to the unintentional abuse but wanting to die knowing she's the one with the big bulge in her panties. it's happened to me a number of times and it's quite ironic isn't it? that it's actually girls that make other girls feel bad about this!!!

I titled this message female ignorance because thats what I think it is. I truly believe that girls with hidden inner lips think that that's the way it is for most other girls and that only the unfortunate ones have to endure large lips. I really don't think that women with small labia know just how common large labia are!!!

Women need to start educating other women on pussy variety and start owning up to having large lips in the first place. So next time you hear a girl make a nasty comment dont hide and thank god that your friends dont know the truth about you! tell her straight faced that you have a pussy with big lips and that you're proud of them and that actually lots of girls have them!!!

Also it might be a good idea to point the ignorant ones to this site!!

Totally agree with you. My experience is the same as yours... It's the girls who make the nasty comments. And I really feel awful every time I hear my friends say "I'm glad I don't have a ugly pussy like that(and then point at a photo etc.) I feel that we should all learn more about our differences, and to accept them. It's 2008, and I don't think we should go around feeling like this when we don't have anything to be ashamed of. When I think of it; we're so blessed! And I can understand why men would "prefer" some luscious lips, instead of some you can bearly see.... I see the beauty of it now:-)

I hope to be able to say to my friends when the mention what they call "an ugly pussy" that I've got those luscious lips they're talking about. Would've been crazy cool to hear how they would react, and probably try to make what they said, unsaid:-)

I totally agree!
Men have never been the problem with me to.
It's defo the girls!
I love the fact that there has been a few programmes of late on fannys. We need more!
Young girls must feel so abnormal when looking at these porn films and lads mags ect.
So many of us have bigger lips! It is ok to have then. After all we can't all be abnormal!

I think this is a very empowering site for woman and applaud the makers of this site for allowing woman to question and express their concerns about their labia. It would be interesting to know if labia size is related to clit size and if there is any relationship to arousal and orgasm with larger lips and clitoris size?

Thats a very good question LIndsay... for me personally it generally always depends on how turned on I am as to how quickly I come and I can literally come in seconds if my clit is ready. But also it can take a while too!! I think the female orgasm is quite an unexplored area and a fasinating one for me. I think a lot of girls/women havent even experienced an orgasm. I met a women once who came for the first time at the age of fourty, she had a new boyfriend who went down on her! her x husband never did...she was a happy women!!
but I think the problem is often masturbation- you'd be surprised how many girls dont do it - still dont like to because to do that is somehow dirty or that you are somehow being overly sexual!! I often hear girls saying I dont need to my boyfriend takes care of that.
I think if you dont masturbate you dont really know your body. but I had a conversation with a friend one day (who has hidden inner lips cos she showed me her shaved pussy once) that she often finds it hard to come!! so big lips or not I dont think there's a connection...but who knows....girls????

I think it's a shame that girls can't be more open and confident to be happily sexual beings!! It's funny isn't it? that in this day and age that women (particularly in the west - the free world) are still generally so inhibited!!
