Surgery!

hi, i'm an 18 year old girl with pretty big labia like all the girls in the photos and i've never felt self conscious or worried about the way they look. Most of the guys i've slept with have absolutely loved them and i found out pretty quickly that there's loads of fun stuff you can do with big labia in the bedroom, which makes sex grrrreat! The only problem is, even though i think they look nice and they make sex better, the rest of the time they are really uncomfortable. I don't know if anyone else has this problem or if mine are just unusually sensitive but everyday things like walking for too long, cycling, or sitting down in the wrong position can be really painful. I love to horse ride but this can be excruciating sometimes as all my bodyweight rests on the labia and i don't know what to do about it. I recently went to my doctor because i had been in so much pain and she suggested having surgery to reduce the labia. She must have agreed with me that it's affecting my everyday life as she even offered it on the NHS, but i don't know whether to go through with it or not. I'd never be the kind of person to go through surgery just for something cosmetic, but the truth is that certain things really hurt my labia. I don't know what to do because if i did have the surgery i would be a lot more comfortable most of the time, but i would also lose a big part of what makes me me. Also, i'm only 18 and i'm really conscious that i haven't really discovered who i am sexually yet. If i lost my big labia, maybe i'd be missing out on some really good sex in the future? It's stressing me out as i need to make a decision about the surgery by the end of the summer. I wouldn't be able to ride for about 2 months afterwards and as i ride in competitions and also work with horses, the end of the summer is the only time i'd be able to get time off riding to have the surgery done. Is anyone else in a similar sitaution to me?!

hello Kerrie
i am a 19 year old girl in London. no, i dont have the same problem but i can understand as i also USED to have a bit of tight times. i dont buy any more tight knickers or jeans that could squeeze to hard on my lard sweet labia. although i find that it is not as sensitive.
so i think that you are a very intelligent girl who has a good think before does anything, which is good. unfortunately i can only advise you, not tell you what u need to do. i can tell that this is a serious issue in your life at the moment and i totally agree that you are still young and who knows what will be in the future. i would not risk my sex life if you would ask me, although with a lot of difficulty. i think that what you should do is take a good time in thinking over of the disadvantages with worst cases of having a surgery and the best case. then the worst case of not having a surgery and how it could affect you.
write a list of both in a graph and measure both.

consult with your doc. again, is there any chance in numbing a bit the nerve ending??? or if it REALLY hurts then maybe just trim it a tiny bit???

from the bottom of my heart, i wish you all the best and i hope that i was for some help.

with lots of love
and good luck

Laine
